CATS turned in 2001-2002 = 3,259
(Assuming an average of 4 kittens to a litter, this represents the litters of 815 unspayed female cats.)
It costs a mere $45 to spay and rabies-vaccinate a female cat through the Kindness Clinic.
815 cats x $45 = $36,675

DOGS turned in 2001-2002 = 11,267
(Assuming an average of 6 puppies to a litter, this represents the litters of 1877 unspayed female dogs.)
It costs an average of $78 to spay and rabies-vaccinate a female dog through the Kindness Clinic.
1877 dogs x $78 = $146,406

TWO YEAR COST to trap, transport, hold, sort & euthanize cats & dogs = $822,454
TWO YEAR COST to spay parent cats & dogs = $183,081 (22%!)
