Who
Are We:
The Carolina Animal Protection
Society is a non-profit, unsheltered, humane society. The purpose is the
prevention of cruelty to animals and the relief of suffering among animals and
the extension of humane education. Our
nonprofit society is dedicated to saving local dogs and cats that have been
abandoned, abused or neglected. We also help animals that have been turned
over to us by their owners because of unforeseen life situations where they can
no longer keep the animal. C.A.P.S. is an all volunteer, non-profit
organization that was founded in 1977 as a result of the community's need to
assist homeless animals.
All of the animals are thoroughly
examined by our local veterinarians and vaccinated before being made available
for adoption. These animals are often placed with a foster family until a loving
home can be found.
